Kelly Stout Appointed as Secretary to the South Florida SMPS Board of Directors
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Kelly Stout, DRMP Business Development Specialist, has been appointed as Secretary to the Board of Directors for the South Florida Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).
In this role, Stout will be responsible for attending all Board meetings and recording the meeting minutes, as well as participating in the organization’s events.
SMPS consists of marketing and business development professionals who work together to move the A/E/C industry forward, according to the organization's website. SMPS provides members with ongoing professional development, leadership opportunities, and marketing resources to advance their careers.
“I feel deeply honored to be invited to take on the role of Secretary,” Stout said. “Ever since I became a member, I have been consistently and actively involved, and I look forward to maintaining this commitment in the future.”
She assumed the role following the departure of a fellow board member who vacated the position to undertake a new responsibility within the Board.
Stout, who joined SMPS in May 2023, also serves on the organization’s Social Media Committee and has been supporting the Sponsorship Committee for the 2024 SMPS Southeast Regional Conference (SERC) being held in March in Greenville, S.C.
She said she looks forward to supporting the Board and its mission.
"I hope to play a part in my industry by challenging myself often and encouraging my fellow professionals to do the same," Stout said. "I have recently registered to sit for the test to obtain my Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification, which I feel will be a tremendous asset for my career and personal development."
At DRMP, Stout is the Business Development Specialist for the firm’s Survey Market Sector and focuses on expanding the firm’s municipal services reach in South Florida.
“Professionally, joining SMPS and specifically the South Florida chapter, has been a game changer for my career,” Stout said. “I have been extremely fortunate to meet some amazing and inspirational like-minded professionals who also enjoy being a marketer of professional services. They understand the challenges I face in my role as a Business Development Specialist, and they have been a wonderful resource for me in my position at DRMP. I leave every event completely inspired to challenge myself to new professional growth and continued education.”
