Veteran Roadway Project Manager Joins DRMP Jacksonville to Strengthen Regional Transportation Growth

December 9th, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – DRMP is strengthening its transportation practice in Northeast Florida with the addition of Roadway Project Manager Peter Osborne, PE.

In this role, Osborne will draw on his extensive experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 2 to further support and enhance DRMP’s well-established roadway practice in the district. He has trained and collaborated with numerous engineering firms across Northeast Florida and will leverage his longstanding District 2 relationships as the firm expands its reach among surrounding counties and local municipalities.

Osborne brings more than 20 years of roadway design experience to the firm, including work on resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation (RRR) projects and major reconstruction efforts. His portfolio includes the State Road 312 corridor, a significant east-west connector in Jacksonville and St. Johns County that includes widening, milling and resurfacing, and integrating innovative intersections with displaced left turns. The project connects to A1A, the region’s primary thoroughfare, and supports improved access to undeveloped areas of St. Johns County in District 2.

He also contributed to the Beyond Ultimate project and the State Road 429 maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans for the Wekiva Parkway Section 7A. The MOT package spanned more than 300 pages and included nine diversions converting a two-lane bidirectional roadway.

Osborne spent more than six years at a previous firm as a general engineering consultant project manager supporting District 2, where he managed multiple projects, including innovative intersections such as Continuous U-Turn (CUT), Displaced Left Turn (DLT) and Median U-Turn (MUT) designs. While consulting for FDOT, he performed quality control reviews on all phases of design submittals. Over the past decade, he has also trained contractors and engineers in temporary traffic control, a professional focus that continues to guide his work.

“I hope that my experience and knowledge of the inner workings of FDOT District 2 and local municipalities will help strengthen DRMP’s position as an essential partner in the region’s infrastructure growth and add more capabilities in transportation design in the northeastern region of Florida,” Osborne said.

What excites Osborne most about joining DRMP, he said, is the firm’s collaborative culture and the opportunity to work across multiple project types and disciplines.

“Jacksonville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country,” he said. “There are several regional revitalization efforts underway and growing infrastructure needs in both the public and private sectors.”

Orlando Assistant Roadway Group Leader Kim Sadowski, PE, RSP1, said Osborne brings tremendous value to DRMP.

“Peter’s proven leadership in District 2 and his thorough understanding of innovative roadway design make him an exceptional addition to our team,” she said. “His technical expertise, strong client relationships, and enthusiasm for mentoring others will help elevate our transportation practice as we continue to support a rapidly growing region.”
