CR 280B Roadway and Bridge Construction

The client sought to develop CR 280B from US Highway 331 to County Road 280A to support the need for additional infrastructure due to additional commercial, industrial, and residential development in the area.

DRMP provided CEI services for the project, which included the construction of a 2-lane, 22-foot wide, 2.17-mile asphalt roadway (off-system) and 720-foot bridge (on-system) from US Highway 331 (SR 83) to County Road 280A. Additionally, the project provided a right-turn lane at the intersection of Highway 331 and the new roadway (CR 280B), as well as the addition of a left-turn lane and pavement widening along CR 280A at the intersection with the new CR 280 road. A new sidewalk was constructed at Highway 331 and the new CR 280B intersection along with drainage improvements. Environmental considerations were made in the construction of retaining walls to limit impacting an existing wetland area.

Thanks to DRMP’s experienced CEI team, Walton County was able to update the roadway to allow for needed infrastructure improvements in the growing area.
