SR 429 (Western Expressway Part C)

SR 429 (Western Expressway Part C) was a $70 million new limited access toll roadway and bridge project. The Central Florida Expressway Authority selected DRMP to provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services to inspect contractor work for 8.5-miles of new limited access roadway from CR 535 to Seidel Road in Orange County.

This new project included 8.5-miles of new roadway from CR 535 to Seidel Road in Orange County. Construction also included 24 bridge structures, a mainline express toll plaza, two ramp toll plazas, a new interchange at Malcolm Road and interchange improvements at CR 535 and Schofield Road. Additional work included new construction with clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation and embankment, drainage, pond excavation, stabilization, base construction, superpave asphalt, waterline construction, fiber optic installation, RE wall construction and bridge construction.

DRMP’s Construction Engineering Inspection services assured the Central Florida Expressway that the project was completed within budget. The new limited access roadway provides improved access to West Orlando and allowed for further extension to Florida’s Turnpike.
