US 441 Utility Relocations

DRMP provided full CEI and grant administration services for the City of Mt. Dora’s $4.2 M US 441 Utility Relocation project. DRMP coordinated with the city and the contractor to address numerous utility conflicts including water, reclaimed water, and sanitary lines. The project included an Economic Development Transportation Fund (EDTF) grant and a State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan. DRMP’s rigorous tracking sheets and tireless coordination efforts minimized the impact of utility conflicts and grant administration obstacles.

The project consisted of constructing approximately 4,400-LF of 16-inch PVC water main, 5,500-LF of 16-inch reclaim main, 3,200-LF of 12-inch PVC force main, 1,200-LF of 16-inch PVC force main, and included 2,300-LF of horizontal directional drill, 900-LF of jack and bore crossings plus all associated valves, fittings, hydrants, ARVs, service connections, asphalt repair, and property restorations.

DRMP’s experience providing CEI services for utilities-related projects was beneficial in the process of widening the adjacent roadway.
