Adventist Health System Corporate Headquarters

DRMP staff was tasked with providing civil site infrastructure design for the construction of a 5-story, 150,000-SF office building for Florida Hospital within the City of Altamonte Springs’ Gateway Activity Center. Challenges included designing a site layout located within a 100-year floodplain as well as designing around 8-acres of wetland. The project was also bound on all four sides by existing roadways that were accommodated into the design.

DRMP’s master stormwater pond was designed 6-acres in size to accommodate the floodplain and wetlands. The team also provided site due diligence services for 17-parcels prior to Florida Hospital purchasing the land. Pedestrian connections were provided to two retail developments to the north to provide easy and safe access to these developments.

DRMP delivered a master stormwater plan designed to accommodate the floodplain and prepared a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for the contractor to eliminate and monitor erosion control during construction of the project. The headquarters houses nearly 400 employees and is LEED Silver Certified by the US Green Building Council.
