Florida Hospital Translational Research Institute

DRMP provided conceptual design, site design, utilities and stormwater design for the Translational Research Institute (TRI).  The TRI is a 4-story, 54,000-SF building located within Florida Hospital’s Health Village with a 125-space parking lot.  The TRI is devoted to the study of obesity and metabolic origins of cardiovascular disease and houses some of the most technologically advanced clinical and diagnostic equipment in the United States.

To accommodate current parking, DRMP prepared a parking study for the City of Orlando’s approval to allow TRI users to park in an existing garage and offsite lot.  DRMP staff produced a site design that accommodated parking for the TRI’s visitors, helping ease access to the new building and eliminating congestion.
