DRMP’s Kim Sadowski Selected for 2026 Florida Engineering Leadership Institute
October 8th, 2025
ORLANDO, Fla. – Congratulations to DRMP Orlando Assistant Roadway Group Leader Kim Sadowski, PE, RSP1, on her acceptance into the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute’s (FELI) Class of 2026.
FELI is a leadership program administered by the Florida Engineering Society (FES) and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC Florida). Sadowski is a part of a long-standing history of DRMP’s involvement in FELI, as the firm has had numerous employees accepted into the program over the years.
The competitively selected, 10-month professional development program is designed to cultivate leadership skills in mid-career engineers across the state. Each FELI class also includes a community service project that aims to give back to the engineering profession or local communities. As part of this year’s FELI 2025 class project, two DRMP employees helped create and install more than 40 Little Free STEM Libraries throughout Florida, promoting STEM education in local communities.
Sadowski joined FES and ACEC Florida earlier this year and views FELI as an opportunity to strengthen her leadership skills, broaden her professional network, and gain a deeper understanding of Florida’s engineering community.
“Being accepted into FELI is an exciting opportunity for me to grow as a leader, connect with like-minded professionals, and make a meaningful impact in our industry,” she said. “I'm honored to be part of a program that is so highly regarded within the engineering community.”
Sadowski said she is especially looking forward to visiting Tallahassee for Florida’s legislative session where FELI participants learn how policy and legislation influence the engineering profession.
“I think understanding how policy shapes our industry will be incredibly valuable in enhancing my leadership and advocacy skills,” she said.
Sadowski hopes to build a stronger network and bring back insights, relationships, and leadership strategies that will benefit her team and DRMP.
“I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate with peers across the state and how we as professionals can help influence positive change in our communities with our service project,” she said.
DRMP Orlando Roadway Group Leader Will Yates, PE, praised Sadowski’s dedication and recognized the significance of this leadership opportunity for her professional growth and the benefit of the firm. Yates is a graduate of the FELI Class of 2015.
“Kim’s acceptance into FELI shows her strong leadership and commitment to growth,” he said. “This opportunity will help her develop new skills that will strengthen our entire group. We look forward to the knowledge and connections she will bring back to benefit her team and DRMP.”
