Josue Herrera, PE, Promoted to Orlando Structures Group Leader
January 22nd, 2025
ORLANDO, Fla. – Josue Herrera, PE, has been promoted to Orlando structures group leader, a role that highlights his leadership and technical expertise within the Structures Division.
In his new role as Orlando structures group leader, Herrera’s duties will include supporting the development of team members both technically and professionally, maintaining strong client relationships, and overseeing the team’s efforts in delivering high-quality structures design and plans.
“Josue is a talented structural engineer and an excellent mentor within our team,” Structures Division Leader Megan Mott, PE, said. “His technical expertise combined with his strong leadership make him the right choice for this role. I’m excited to see the growth opportunities Josue will bring to the Structures Division.”
Herrera began his career at DRMP in 2013 as an engineering intern. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida in August 2013, he transitioned to the role of project engineer. In November 2017, he earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license, marking a significant milestone in his career. He then became a senior structural engineer before being promoted to Orlando structures group leader.
“For me, it is an exciting and challenging opportunity,” Herrera said. “This new role is a testament to the overall confidence that my team places in me. I am truly honored by that.”
Herrera said his goal is to continue to grow the collaborative environment that has made the team great.
“I hope to be able to help our team feel empowered in a place where they can thrive both personally and professionally,” he said.
Herrera plans to focus on initiatives that strengthen team collaboration and professional development, while allowing individual goals from the team to be met.
“I’m truly honored to be in this position and grateful for the mentorship and support I’ve received throughout my journey at DRMP,” he said. "I’m excited to continue offering guidance and support to our team while also learning from them. Our team’s talent and strength are what make us an exceptional group.”
