TAMPA, Fla.  –  The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Tampa Bay Chapter recently honored DRMP Tampa Roadway Group Leader Pavan Paiavula, PE, with a Past President’s Award to acknowledge his outstanding service during his 2019-2021 term as the Chapter’s president.

Paiavula joined ASHE in 2015 and previously served as the Tampa Bay Chapter’s Secretary and Vice President prior to becoming president.

In his role as president, Paiavula was responsible for chairing the Chapter’s board of directors, presiding at all meetings, nominating a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, and developing agendas for board and executive committee meetings.

“It’s an honor to be a part of ASHE, and I’m so grateful to have received this award,” Paiavula said. “I thank this wonderful organization for providing me with the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the transportation industry so we can solve common problems and provide solutions to better serve our clients and communities. It’s been a great experience for me personally and professionally, and I look forward to continuing my involvement with ASHE.”
